Meet Mahmoud
Mahmoud was born and raised in Bawiti, the main town of the Bahariya Oasis — 370 km southwest of Cairo, deep in Egypt's Western Desert. He's been guiding travelers through this landscape since 1997 — not because someone hired him, but because the desert is where he belongs.
He knows every dune, every spring, every star. He cooks your meals over open flame, drives through terrain that has no road, and wakes up before you to brew Bedouin tea on coals. He doesn't give scripted tours — he shares his home.
